GRADES OF TIMBER
Flooring comes in two major grades with various descriptions used by timber millers. For instance the Standard Grades offer variation showing burls, shakes, gum veins, spirals and unusual colours and grain effects (not defects). On the other hand, the Select Grades show more even colour, more grain with less markings. Standard Grade is slightly cheaper.

SPECIES 
Australian grown timbers include: Brushbox Blackbutt, Tasmanian Oak, Spotted Gum, Southern Oak, Ironbark, Messmate, Mixed Hardwoods, Sydney Blue Gum, Forest Reds, Hoop Pine, Karri, Jarrah, Australian Beech, Satin Ash and the brilliant Murray River Red Gum.
